  1. What a touching story! and I must say that I have read two of her books namely: “The Stolen Cascadura ” and “Is America she gone” as I read these books I was able to see the story reflected in the life of Trinidadians it is really thought provoking and interesting a must read.

    • Yes, I read both of her books last year after borrowing them from the library , and you are correct it is really thought provoking and interesting. I still have visualizations of the story lines in my head from time to time. You cannot put those books down!! I wish that I could write like that.

I saw an advertisement on the NALIS website that Dr. Scott had visited at one of the libraries in the West last month but, I was unable to visit at that time. I was really disappointed.

I also feel proud that she and many like her from the Caribbean have such great books and can write about our society so that we can see ourselves and know more about who we are as Caribbean people.
